Union Hospital Golf Outing Benefits Scholarship Fund
09/16/2008
One hundred fifty two golfers converged on the golf course at the Country Club of Terre Haute on June 6th to enjoy a day of golf and the end result was not only a great day of golf, but also a substantial gift to Union Hospital Foundation's Scholarship Reserve Fund. Thanks to the golfers and sponsors of the event, over $81,000 was presented to Union Hospital Foundation to help supplement over 20 scholarship the Foundation provides on an annual basis. The outing was also made possible thanks to the service of the golf outing committee that was chaired by Dr. Mark Schuld and included Jerry Einstandig, Bud Perry, Bill Grimes, Arnie Kosofsky, Troy Helman, David Hannum, Vern Fellows, John Dinkel and Country Club of Terre Haute Professional, Jeff Sheets, not to mention 44 volunteers.
Dr. Mark Schuld, chair of the golf outing committee commented, "I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved that made this outing a tremendous success. To be able to provide over $80,000 to the Foundation's Scholarship Reverse fund is phenomenal."
