Service League

At Union Hospital, volunteers have the opportunity to become members of the Service League of Union Hospital. Members help patients, their families and the hospital staff with activities which supplement the hospital's services. You can make your spare time count for something special by volunteering. As Service League members you experience satisfaction from assisting others, learn new skills, make new friends and add to the quality of life in the Wabash Valley.
Besides providing volunteer service to the hospital, the Service League plays a key role in raising money to purchase necessary equipment and services. Since its inception in 1953, the Service League has raised more than $2,000,000, which has donated to the hospital through the Foundation.
Service League programs include Gift Shop operation, surgery hostess desk, surgery holding area, in-home volunteers and special events such as ice cream socials, book fairs and the Children's Classic Run.
